Our July client in the spotlight is the award–winning Silver Vase Inc., owned by Andrew and Ilma Bartha. They are celebrating over 25 years of commitment to beautiful, long-lasting orchids and bromeliads for the home, patio, office or yacht!
Their story begins with a fledgling orchid business back in 1988. From its modest start in a 5,000 square foot plot of shade houses in Homestead, Florida, Andrew and Ilma planted the seeds that eventually grew into a 5 million unit facility. In 1992 Hurricane Andrew blew in and completely destroyed the Silver Vase facilities. Undaunted and determined to rebuild, the Barthas and their crop came back better than ever. Today their greenhouse operation is fully automated and environmentally friendly – they grow “clean and green,” limiting pesticides.

Proud to also be very innovative growers, their “Blue Mystique” is the world’s first blue phalaenopsis orchid!
